Clinical characteristics and the diagnosis and treatment of non-syndromic supernumerary teeth

Abstract: Supernumerary teeth, also known as extra teeth, clinically manifest as in excess of the usual configuration of the normal number of teeth. These are associated with certain systemic diseases and syndromes. The general characteristics, etiology, influence, diagnosis, and treatment timing of non-syndromic supernumerary teeth were reviewed in this article with the aim of providing certain instructions and pieces of evidence for clinical work.
