Application of chitosan scaffolds in periodontal tissue engineering

Although chitosan possesses excellent biocompatibility, there are some disadvantages when it is used in periodontal tissue engineering. This present article is to review the higher researching value and better promising clinical utilization of chitosan complex scaffolds in periodontal tissue engineering.
