Abstract:

Cone beam CT（CBCT） has been used more and more in the diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular joint diseases in recent years. CBCT has great advantages in detecting and evaluating the osseous and joint space changes of the temporomandibular joint in different directions and aspects. It provides a new platform and a new approach in improving diagnostic accuracy and selection of rational treatment methods. This article introduces progress on the application of CBCT in diagnosing and treatment of temporomandibular joint diseases and explores its prospective in clinical practices and scientific researches in the field.
