Research progress on maxillofacial prosthesis

Abstract:

The maxillofacial defects caused by tumour resection, trauma or malformation of maxillofacial region often lead to deficits of physiological function and psychology. The prosthesis is a effective method to restore function and appearance of maxillofacial. In recent years, the studies and applications of lots of new techniques and new materials promote the development of maxillofacial prosthetics. This paper will review the current progress and use of retention techniques and materials of maxillofacial prosthesis.
