Research progress on the osteogenesis effect of nel-like typeⅠgene and its application in bone tissue engineering

Abstract:

Nel-like typeⅠgene is a novel gene which was found overexpressed in pre-fused areas of craniosynostosis patients. It was applied in bone tissue engineering as a new growth factor because of its biological functions on inducing osteoblast differentiaton and enhancing osteogenesis effect. This article will summary a review about the osteogenesis effect of nel-like typeⅠgene and its application in bone tissue engineering according what we have known.
