Research progress of resin monomer toxicity mechanism

Abstract: Monomers was residual when composite resin polymerized incompletely. Unpolymerized monomers could penetrate into oral, dentin and periapical tissue, contributing to the cytotoxicity and mutation toxicity. In this review,
we summarize the toxicity mechanisms about interference redox equilibrium, inhibition 3-kinase/Akt signaling cascade, activation mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway, induction gene expression of inflammatory factor and inflammatory reaction, cell cycle proteins regulatory the cell cycle of the resin monomer in cell.
