Bioactive Titanium Implant Made by Alkali- and Heat-treatment

Abstract:

Titanium and titanium alloy are often used for endosteal implants because of their good biocompatibility. Some treatments are applied to activate implants so that implants can contact with bone better. Alkali - and heat - treatment is one of them. This article will review how this treatment activate implants and the bioactivity of activated implants.
