The application of micro- computed tomogr aphy on per iodontology

Abstract:

Three- dimensional micro- computed tomography（micro- CT） is a nondestructive, fast, and very precise image procedure, which can take high- resolution three- dimensional images. It is useful for the diagnosis of diseases in the oral region. micro- CT observations can enhance the three- dimensional understanding of periodontal wound healing. It may be useful for three- dimensional evaluation of periodontal regenerative procedures. This review summarized the principal of micro- CT performance and its use in the periodontal disease.
