Regulating mechanisms of dental follicle cells differentiation

Abstract:

Dental follicle cells are composed by a group of heterogeneous cells, that can differentiate to form the periodontium. The regulating mechanisms of cell differentiation is very complex. Epithelial to mesenchymal interactions play a critical role in dental follicle cells differentiation, which induce the programmed expression of differentiation-related genes. Meanwhile, the differentiation is regulated by a molecular network of various cytokines.
