The role of cytokines in cartilage degeneration in osteoarthritis

Abstract:

Osteoarthritis(OA) is a kind of degenerative disease characterized by the destruction of articular cartilage and the subchondral bone resorption or dysplasia. Cytokines regulate the functions of chondrocytes through various mechanisms. The actions of related cytokines in the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis cartilage were reviewed.
