Common dental diseases in children and malocclusion

Caries and its complications, dental trauma, occlusive disorders, dental dysplasia is common in pediatric dental clinic treatment. The clinical work in pediatric dentistry requires not only a variety of common dental treatment for children, but also need to manage their oral health, from the first tooth eruption, successfully establishing a healthy primary dentition, mixed dentition, until the establishment of the normal young permanent dentition. Malocclusion in children occur not only related to genetic factors, deciduous caries, endodontic disease, dental trauma, improper feeding practice and poor diet can cause occlusive disorders and malocclusion. In this paper, starting from childhood caries, talk about some relations of several common dental diseases with the malocclusion of children, in order to provide evidences to pediatric dentists and general dentists with a view of systematic management of children’s oral health.
