Abstract: Objective Three-dimensional digital models of teeth, which were scanned and constructed with Micro-CT instrument, afforded plentiful data for dental anatomy teaching and improved the quality of teaching. Methods Some teeth were carried out high-resolution scanning with SCANCO MicroCT μ80 instrument. Differentparts of teeth(enamel, pulp cavity and root canal) were reconstructed and combined together to form an intact tooth three-dimensional model. Results Enamel three-dimensional model illustrated surface structures and its changesin the thickness were clearly. Pulp cavity and root canal three -dimensional model displayed their morphologic changes and lateral canal. Three-dimensional model of teeth showed the overall performance characteristics. Conclusion Teeth digital data obtained from Micro-CT enriched the content of dental anatomy teaching, overcomed the teaching difficulties in pulp cavity and root canal anatomy, and improved teaching quality and efficiency greatly.
