Abstract: Post-core-crown is a widely used clinical restorative method. Ferrule effect is applied to post-corecrown restoration. Despite that there are series of theoretical experimental and clinical studies about the effect of ferrule on fracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth restored with post-core-crown, there also remains disputes. This review made a summary to those ferrule-related factors and the relation with fracture resistance of post-core-crown.
