Abstract: Dental prosthetic restorations replace natural teeth with occlusal function for years in vivo, and the process of chewing is the wear of themselves and natural teeth. The abrasion resistance is the important factor when one chooses dental restorative materials. As the complexity of process of chewing and the oral environment, many factors effect abradability. The main influential factors of abrasion resistance are reviewed in this article.

Key words: dental materials, abradability, influential factors
