Abstract:

In recent years, the application of resin‑ceramic composites in the restoration of implant-supported crowns in the posterior tooth region have been on the rise. This article comprehensively reviews the classification, mechanical properties, and biological characteristics of resin‑ceramic composites. It specifically delves into key aspects in implant restoration, such as the design of abutments and the optimization of crown morphology when using these materials. The mechanism by which resin‑ceramic composites affect the bone resorption around implants is analyzed in detail. Additionally, surface treatment techniques and strategies for selecting luting cements are elaborated. By summarizing current research findings, this review aims to provide a theoretical foundation and practical reference for the standardized application of resin‑ceramic composites in clinical implant restoration.

Key words: resin-ceramic composites, dental implants, crown restoration, mechanical property, stress distribution, abutment design
