Abstract: With the widely clinical application of implant-supported denture, people′s esthetic expectation in implant restoration has been climbed ever higher. The loss of peri-implant papilla known as black triangle disease leads to an esthetic handicap, so the renovation of natural, beautiful papilla and papilla in harmonious with adjacent teeth is one of important aspects of wonderful implant-supported denture effect. Studies found that inter-implant papilla in restoration areas changed with the height of alveolar crest, the distance from the contact point to the alveolar crest and some other related elements. Aimed at different conditions of loss areas, we usually make a design before each operation and use bone grafting, soft-tissue surgical technique and temporary crown to restore the esthetic appearance of papilla to a great extent. It also decreases the incidence of black triangle and improves the esthetic effects. The purpose of this article was to summarize the interrelated esthetic researches of papilla around implant-supported denture.
