Application analysis of Bolton index in orthodontic treatment

Abstract: Ideal arrangement of teeth and arch relationship needs coordination between maxillary and mandibular tooth-size. The Bolton index is commonly used, but affected by many factors during the evaluation. This article reviewed the factors affecting the Bolton index to help the orthodontists to apply this index.
