Research progress and consensus of experts on the therapy of peri-implant diseases

Abstract:

Owing to the development of implant-repairing techniques and materials and improvement in people’s living standard, the use of implants to replace missing teeth has considerably increased. The gradual increase in the incidence of peri-implant diseases has drawn attention. In recent years, therapeutic principles and treatment procedures for peri-implant diseases have mostly come into agreement, and novel treatment concepts and therapeutic methods have been proposed. This review explores the development of the expert consensus and methods for treating peri-implant diseases.
