Research progress on the biomechanics of self -ligating bracket systems

Abstract:

Self-ligating brackets are becoming increasingly popular in orthodontic treatment, due to their lower friction in leveling and aligning stage compared with conventional brackets. The article reviewed the recent researches in the rationale and biomechanics of self-ligating bracket systems to provide some useful information for further improvements in orthodontic cares.
