Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway and bone remodeling

Abstract:

Wnt signaling pathway is one of the most important regulatory systems that plays a key role in modulating the differentiation, proliferation and programmed cell death of osteoblast, osteoclast and chondrocyte. The research progress of the role of canonical Wnt/β-catenin pathway in regulating bone remodeling is summarized in this review, its function on osteoclastogenesis and programmed cell death of osteoblast is discussed in details.
