Research progress on application of distraction osteogenesis in orthodontic tooth

Abstract: Accelerating orthodontic tooth movement and completing orthodontic treatment in shorter time are what orthodontists expect. As the technology of distraction osteogenesis has been widely applied and developed in lengthening of craniofacial bone, maxilla, mandible and increasing vertical height of dentoalveolar bone, the application of distraction osteogenesis in orthodontic tooth movement has attracted more and more orthodontists′ attention. This review focused on the application of distraction osteogenesis in orthodontic tooth movement and its related research progress.
