Mechanism of tumor microenvironment and epithelial -mesenchymal transition

Abstract: Epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT) is believed to be a major mechanism by which cancer cells become migratory and invasive. Many steps of metastasis are influenced by host contributions from the tumor microenvironment. Recognition of the complex relationship between EMT and tumor microenvironment may provides essential new targets for anti-invasive and anti-metastatic therapeutic strategies.
