Research progress of removing extrinsic stain from tooth surface by whitening too

Abstract: The most commonly used method to remove extrinsic stain from tooth surface is using whitening toothpastes. Researches focus on how to improve the active compositions of whitening toothpastes, how to enhance the availability of them, and how to reduce the abrasion of them. This paper summarizes the current knowledge about the effective compositions, the efficiency and the harm of whitening toothpaste.
