Abstract: All-ceramic crowns and bridges have been widely used for dental restorations owing to their excellent functionality, aesthetics and biocompatibility. However, the premature clinical failure of all -ceramic crowns and bridges may easily occur when subjected to repetitive occlusal contact loading. In order to provide efficient theoretical instruction for clinical applications, the finite element method can be used to analyze the fatigue behavior, optimize the design of all-ceramic crowns and bridges, and to evaluate the reliability and durability. This paper
reviewed the recent research progress of fatigue behavior of all -ceramic crowns and bridges by finite element method.

Key words: all-ceramic crown, all-ceramic bridge, finite element, fatigue life
