Influence factor, diagnosis and treatment of root fracture

Abstract: Once root fracture happens, the prognosis is very poor. Root fracture is closely related to some factors, such as tooth anatomy, occlusal factors, biomechanics, iatrogenic factors. Foreign and domestic scholars have carried out a great number of researches. The aim of this article was to review cause, mechanism, diagnosis and treatment of root fracture in order to provide a clinical reference.
