West China’s viewpoints on core problems of cleft lip-nose repair

Abstract:

The correction of cleft lip-nasal deformities has been the highlights and difficulty of cleft lip repair. The main reasons for complexity are the lack of understanding and divergence amongst surgeons on the panthomechanisms of the cleft lip nose, the limitation of surgical techniques, and the inability to maintain and predict the postoperative outcomes. This article aims to share and elaborate West China’s viewpoint on and understanding of several core problems of cleft lip and nose deformity, thereby clarifying the core problems of cleft lip-nose repair with peers which aids in promoting and improving the overall treatment of patients with cleft lip.
