Application and prospect of three-dimensional finite analysis in orthodontics

Abstract:

Orthodontics is a subject that has a very close relationship with biomechanics, and its effective and common biomechanical research method is three-dimensional finite element analysis(3-D FEM). From orthodontic to orthopedic force, this article presents the modeling and application of 3-D FEM analysis in orthodontics, including its defects and trends, which are described at the end of this review.
