Research progress on tidemark of mandibular condylar cartilage

Abstract: As a junction between mature calcified cartilage and non-calcified cartilage, tidemark attracts more attention on researches about age -related changes, remodification, degeneration and repair in articular cartilage. However, detailed study of tidemark on mandibular condyle was rare. The purpose of this review is to provide a summary of research progress related to morphology and function of tidemark in mandibular condyle and hyaline articular cartilage which is health or suffering osteoarthrosis.
