Abstract:

Objective This study aimed to evaluate the clinical performance of ceramic veneers after restoration. Methods The teeth of 25 patients were restored with 133 porcelain laminate veneers. Marginal adaptation, marginal discoloration, secondary caries, color match, anatomic form, endodontic complication, cracks, fractures, and debonding were clinically examined. The one-to eight-year survival rates with absolute failures and success rates with absolute failures and relative failures of the veneers were statistically analyzed using the life table method. Results The survival rates of the veneers were 100.0%, 99.2%, 97.6%, 96.7%, 94.7%, 93.2%, 89.3% and 89.3%, whereas the success rates were 100.0%, 98.5%, 96.1%, 94.4%, 90.5%, 84.5%, 80.9%, 80.9% in one to eight years, respectively. Conclusion Porcelain laminate veneers offer a predictable and successful treatment approach.
