Application of cognitive behavioral therapy in the field of oral treatment

Abstract:

Cognitive behavioral therapy(CBT) has not only been studied the most in the number of psychological treatment methods by the way of natural sciences, but also been recognized as the most effective method for chronic pain and become one of the most influential methods of psychologically treatment. Mental problems are common in the clinical work, dentist also need to solve the problem among the psychological, biological and social for patients. Almost during 20 years, CBT are widely used in the dental treatment, including dental anxiety, root canal therapy, oral medicine, oral surgery, orthodontics and temporomandibular joint disorder, etc. This is a review about the application of CBT in dental treatment.
