Research progress of emdogain in the field of stomatology

Abstract: Emdogain is the conjugate of enamel matrix derivative and corresponding carrier, which can promote regeneration of periodontal tissues, biomineralization, bone induction and so on. Many researchers reached some results in emdogain from culture in vitro, animal studies and clinic trials. This review summarized emdongain and its role in periodontal disease, maxillofacial defects, dental implantation and so on.
