Abstract: Defensive reaction is initiated when the pulp is suffered from potential harmful stimulus. Secreting or releasing cytokines constructs a complex regulatory network to activate certain signaling pathways, resulting in reparative dentin formation to protect the pulp from noxious stimulus. The directional migration of dental pulp cells to the injured sites is pivotal to the regeneration process. This review focused on the research progress in migration of dental pulp cells.

Key words: migration, dental pulp cell, cytokine
