Abstract:

Objective To investigate the application of buccal path in removal of horizontal impacted mandibularthird molars.
Methods 57 cases of moderate-low horizontal impacted mandibular third molars were removed by buccal path.
Results 1)All cases were removed by buccal path. 2)Surgical field of buccal path was large and clear exposure, removal bone was sufficient, cut-off crown of tooth was quick. 3)Complication of buccal pathwas few.
Conclusion Buccal path was suited to extract impacted mandibular third molar of moderate-low horizontal position.
