Abstract:

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of Huaxi unilateral cleft lip repair. Methods Huaxi unilateral cleft lip repair was applied for the repair of unilateral cleft lip in 49 cases. The operations were conduced according to the designs and the secondary nasal deformities were corrected at the same time. The effects were evaluated one week after operation.
Results Skin flaps near the floor of nose were necrosis partly in 2 cases. 47
cases showed wound healing well. In dynamic and static state, the effects of the operations were satisfactory.
Conclusion The Huaxi unilateral cleft lip repair is feasible for unilateral cleft lip repair.
