Methods of measuring tooth mobility

Abstract: Tooth mobility refers to the movement degree of natural teeth or implants in the force, which can evaluate the situation of teeth supporting tissues, for the treatment as an important indicator of prognosis. Dentists usually measure tooth mobility with denting forceps in clinic, which mostly depends on experience. To avoid such error, a lot of instruments have been invented. This article will introduce some of them to review the achievement and advancement in this field.
