Research progress on clinical application of Forsus Spring appliance

Abstract: Forsus Spring（abbreviation Forsus） appliance is a latest technique to solve the problem of Angle class Ⅱ malocclusion. It has a simple structure and convenient clinical operation, and can be used together with fixed appliance. Forsus appliance promotes the development of the mandibule, retrudes the maxillary incisor and changes the distance between upper and lower lip and esthetic plane, which plays an important role on esthetic effects of Angle class Ⅱ malocclusion. This article reviewed the current situation on clinical application and orthodontic effect of Forsus appliance to help the orthodontists to apply this method.
