Abstract: The piezosurgery device is a new innovating surgical equipment that used piezoelectric ultrasonic vibrations to perform precise and safe osteotomies. This device works only on mineralized tissues and causes no thermally harm to tissues. Now, it has been widely used in oral bone surgery. The review mainly focuses on the principle, technique characteristics and the application of the piezosurgery divice in oral field.
