Bolton Index Analysis of Thr ee Kinds of Normal Occlusion in Ear ly Permanent Dentition

Abstract:

Objective To investigate the affection of different arch forms（tapered, ovoid, and square） on Bolton index. Methods The normal occlusion plaster casts were grouped according to arch form（tapered, ovoid, and square） each group including 20. Calculated Bolton anterior and overall ratios, then statistic analysises were done. Results The variance value of Bolton anterior ratios of the 3 arch forms was 13.11（P<0.01）. Checked by LSD, tapered< ovoid
