Revascularization treatment of immature permanent teeth with necrotic pulp

Abstract:

In recent years, with the development of life science, materials science and related disciplines, people have had a new understanding about the immature permanent teeth’s ability to regenerate. The regenerative endodontics as a new treatment of pulp necrosis, which may bring more desirable outcomes than the conventional treatment, has become a research focus. As one of the regenerative treatments, pulp revascularization has advantages such as convenience, relatively low cost, lack of immune rejection and ethical issues involved and has gained attention. This article will review the history and the development of this method, as well as its application in the treatment of pulp necrosis of immature permanent teeth.
