Clinical application of Magfit magnetic attachments in complete overdentures on mandibular

Abstract:

Objective To study the clinical effects of complete overdenture on mandibular with magnetic attachment. Methods Twenty-one patients were treated with Magfit EX600 retained mandibular complete overdentures. The retention and masticatory efficiency of patients wearing mandibular complete overdentures were periodically observed for 12 months, and measured the chewing efficiency with the absorbency and weighing methods. Results After the solid magnetic attached, the retention and masticatory efficiency of the dentures with magnetic attachment improved obviously. All patients were satisfied with the comfortable and stability. Conclusion Mandibular overdentures supported by magnetic attachment can be used to improve the masticatory efficiency and retention.
