Abstract: Cleft palate and sleep-disordered breathing are both common diseases in oral and maxillofacial surgery. It has been found that individuals with cleft palate have some characteristics related to sleep-disordered breathing. This article was summarized a select group of articles on this topic, and then discussed it from the following three aspects: Anatomical abnormality, disorders of neuromuscular movements, as well as changes in aerodynamic.
