Application of X-ray cephalometrics to occlusal rehabilitation

Abstract: Occlusal rehabilitation could change patients′ original infraocclusion state into physiological occlusal relationship. The effect of occlusal rehabilitation to the facial soft and hard tissue has not been clarified. X-ray cephalometrics, which can precisely describe the structure of teeth, facial bones, soft and hard tissues, has been widely used in orthodontics and dentalfacial orthopedics, and now is being applied to prosthodontics. This paper summarized X-ray cephalometrics applied to occlusal rehabilitation.
