Factors and diagnosis of root resorption following orthodontic treatment

Abstract: Root resorption is one of the common complications in orthodontic treatment. The influencing factors and the mechanism of root resorption following orthodontic treatment are uncertained. This article summarized most of influencing factors including both biological factors and mechanical factors. Some diagnosis methods and assessment methods are reviewed.
