Analysis of dental anxiety and factors associated with onset in adults

Abstract: Dental anxiety is a public health problem in population in the world. It has been one of the main problems of negative effects on dental utilization behaviors. Extreme anxiety can affect dental health and general health, and often deteriorates the patient-dentist relationship. Understanding and combating patients' dental anxiety poses a significant problem for the dental profession. In this article, the author reviewed evaluating method, prevalence, relative factors, negative influence and treatment of dental anxiety in adults.
