Abstract: Vascular endothelial growth factor- C is the special cytokines found involving in the lymphatic metastasis. And many others are following proved to promote local lymphatic metastasis. The mechanism of contribution of thermotherapy to lymphatic metastasis is still remaining unclear, and mostly focused on clinic. Recently, it is found that thermotherapy can inhibit the expression of cytokines which promote lymphatic metastasis. The relationship between thermotherapy and cytokines which were thought to promote lymphatic metastasis was reviewed.
