Abstract: Hydroxyapatite/poly- lactic- co- glycolic acid (HA/PLGA) biocomposite material is one typical representative of inorganic/organic composite materials. With the improvement of the preparation of the material, it's easier to cell adhere and the material has better biocompatibility. The application of nanotechnique had improved the bioactivity of the material as well as the osteointegration and the osteoconduction. The study of biomimetic mineralization suggests that different size and shape of apatite microenvironment affects the cell spreading, proliferation and the osteogenic differentiation. By surface adsorption and coprecipitation, the bioactive growth factors could absorb to the surface of the material, so a desired delivery system of biological factors for bone tissue engineering could therefore be designed. But the method of coprecipitation has more advantage compared with surface adsorption.
