Abstract: Both bruxism and temporomandibular disorde(rs TMD)are common oral diseases. It is difficult for dentists to make an appropriate diagnosis and treatment since their etiologies are not clear. Many researchers have tried their
efforts to evaluate the relationship between bruxism and TMD. But they didn′t reach an agreement. In this article, the relationship between bruxism and TMD, and the mechanism that TMD may arise from bruxism are reviewed.
