Abstract:

Special AT-rich sequence binding protein（SATB）-2 is a nuclear matrix protein, which plays an important role in the craniofacial growth and differentiation of osteoblasts. The biological characteristics, functions and the prospects in periodontal therapy of SATB-2 are summarized in this paper.
