Oral lesion of inflammatory bowel disease and its diagnosis

Abstract: Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) is a sort of chronic intestinal tract disease with specified intestinal manifestation. Its extraintestinal manifestations are outstanding and each system can be involved. The lesion of oral mucosa is one of the common extraintestinal manifestations. Clinically, dentists are usually unfamiliar with this kind of disease. In this review, we summarized the extraintestinal manifestations of inflammatory bowel disease, especially,
the oral lesion and its diagnosis.
