Abstract: Deciduous root resorption is a physiological phenomenon that results in exfoliation of the deciduous teeth. To date, numerous experiments have been done by the researchers all over the world. It showed that receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB-receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand-osteoprotegerin, interleukin and other factors might regulate the tooth root resorption, and contribute to the complex process. This article will summarizethe research progress of the deciduous root physiological resorption, and also want to put forward some new approaches.
Key words: physiological root resorption, deciduous teeth, odontoclast
